Connecting Global Brands with the Ethiopian Market Since 2014
Founded in 2014, INTEMA Trading PLC is an established FMCG importer, distributor and wholesaler that has been connecting trusted global brands with Ethiopia for over a decade. Headquartered in Bole Sub-City, Addis Ababa, we specialise in importing and distributing branded consumer goods through exclusive agency agreements, building strong market presence for our partners and making quality products accessible to consumers.
Our business goes beyond importing products. We work closely with international manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers and local business partners to develop brands, expand market reach and build lasting commercial relationships. With experience in distribution, sales management and market development, we help international brands establish and grow their presence in Ethiopia.
INTEMA serves Ethiopia, Djibouti and Sudan, connecting suppliers with a regional market of approximately 170 million people. Our leadership brings over a decade of industry experience, including senior management experience with Beiersdorf, L’Oréal Professionnel and L’Oréal Consumer Products.
Beyond our core import and distribution operations, we have developed our own consumer brands. These include Abay, our candle brand, and Seedcup and Bella, our registered Ethiopian coffee export brands.
Owned by Bedru Hussen Jemal, INTEMA combines international sourcing, local market knowledge, distribution expertise and long-term business partnerships to create value for both our suppliers and customers.
